The GoodHearts Foundation has moved its annual general meeting to September again. This year’s AGM will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Mayfield Inn, 16615 109th Avenue. The event starts at 9:30 a.m. and includes a buffet breakfast for members who have their dues up to date. Memberships can be purchased prior to the meeting.
Jeff Simpson, founder of Simpson Group Insurance Services Inc., is the AGM guest speaker. Travel insurance is a topic every transplant patient needs to address, especially since most travel to Edmonton prior to and post transplant. Then there’s leisure travel. Jeff has 21 years of experience in travel medical and health insurance. He works with insurance providers offering basic through complex medically underwritten insurance plans. He will present on the different types of travel insurance available and discuss the best ways for transplant recipients to secure coverage.
